Phone system upgrade
We are pleased to confirm that we are having an upgrade to the telephone system and moving to the latest cloud-based phone technology. The installation of the new system will take place on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th June.
Here’s what we can expect from the new system:
- Announce queue position. A persons place in the queue is their true position, unlike the current system where patients may sit in a queue outside our system.
- Callback option, retaining position in queue and call back when at front of queue.
- Call back booking – book a convenient time for callback.
- GP Voice offers integration into clinical system & links with patient record associated with the phone number.
- Advanced number capture and patient look up.
- Noise cancelling headsets for our call handlers to minimise any background interference.
The installation period should not impact or disrupt in any way your ability to contact the practice. Engineers will be onsite for the period of the install and switch over. In the unlikely event that you do experience any difficulties it is likely to be temporary. In this instance we would urge you try again a short time later or submit any enquiries online which can be done from the practice website or via the NHS app.
