All requests for a GP appointment between now and 30th September will be reviewed by a clinician and allocated to:
- Telephone consultation
- Video consultation (Push Doctor – see below)
- Face to face (see below)
Requests can be made:
- By booking directly for a video consultation
- By telephoning 353303 / 353304 and speaking to the receptionist.
- By submitting on online enquiry
We have partnered with Push Doctor in order to make more GP appointments available, 7 days a week and between 8am and 8pm. This will be in the form of a video consultation, with the option to receive prescriptions, sick notes and referrals in the usual way and from the comfort of your own home.
Video appointments with NHS GP’s whenever you want, from wherever you are.
When Ringing the Surgery
Please be aware that call demand can be high and this can result in longer waits for your call to be answered.
Please note that reception will ask for some details about your condition prior to booking. This will help the clinician reviewing the request to understand the most suitable staff member to deal with your enquiry. We now employ clinical staff in a variety of roles to support our GP's and help our patients to be seen sooner for medical matters.
Face to Face GP Appointments
Due to the coronavirus endemic please note that most requests for a GP appointment will be preceded by a review over the telephone, video consultation or online consultation. A face to face appointment with a Doctor or Clinician is not always necessary. This may be done by one of our GP's or medical support staff such as specialist nurses, pharmacist or Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
