COVID-19: Updated patient information

Published: 02/08/2022

Face masks: All patients are encouraged to wear an appropriate face mask when visiting our premises, unless exempt. Social distancing: This is no longer generally required. However, there may still be some distancing in our premises to accommodate patients with COVID symptoms. Sanitising: We ask patients to continue to ensure they maintain good hand hygiene when they visit our premises. This greatly reduces the risk of infection spreading.

With high levels of COVID-19 circulating in our local community, Pelham Medical has taken the decision - with the support of the NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board - to reintroduce some Infection Prevention and Control measures in our premises, aimed at reducing the risk to our staff and patients, particularly those who remain vulnerable and protect the NHS.

With immediate effect, all of our staff (whether patient facing or not) are being encouraged to wear masks in our premises apart from when eating or drinking or alone in a room. We are also asking all patients to consider wearing a face mask when visiting our premises, unless exempt.

Thank you for your ongoing consideration and support.
